The artist

Sharon Swan is a Massachusetts-based mural artist and the founder of Rollerbird Designs.

Before picking up a brush professionally, Sharon spent decades in brand marketing, working with companies like adidas, New York Times Digital, TomTom GPS, and Bananagrams. She earned her M.B.A. from Babson, climbed the ranks, and did the thing — all while painting on the side, a practice she'd honed under a professional artist when she was in her twenties. During the pandemic, she painted her first mural on a whim. Neighbors at a party saw it, loved it, and hired her on the spot. Things took off from there.

That marketing career isn't incidental to the work — it's the whole point. Sharon understands brand, space, and what makes something genuinely memorable. Every mural is custom-designed from scratch, informed by the client's identity, environment, and community, then executed by Sharon personally, start to finish. Her projects span restaurants, corporate offices, human-services organizations, and residential interiors.

Working with Rollerbird means working with someone who is buttoned up. No flakiness, no missed messages, no vague timelines. Sharon takes every project seriously, makes the process easy, and doesn't stop until her clients are genuinely thrilled.

Available for projects throughout Massachusetts and beyond.

The ORIGIN STORY

As a young girl, Sharon was transfixed by the sisters' apartment in the TV show Too Close for Comfort — that bold, graphic, color-saturated space lodged itself somewhere in the back of her brain and never left.

Decades later, it's the same impulse driving every wall she approaches: the conviction that a room should feel like something, that color and shape can make a space genuinely unforgettable. What started as a childhood obsession became a career.
